Overview

Sacred Hour helps users pray, read Scripture, create prayer requests, join prayer rooms, exchange messages with friends, receive reminders, and optionally use Apple Family Controls to pause selected apps during prayer time.

Information We Collect

When you use the app, we may collect account information such as your name, email address, username, profile photo, authentication provider, and user ID. If you choose to use app features, we may store prayer requests, reflections, prayer progress, Bible highlights, saved verses, friends, messages, prayer room memberships, invitations, and room settings.

The app may collect notification tokens to deliver reminders, friend requests, messages, prayer room invitations, and prayer updates. If you join live prayer rooms, the app requests microphone access so you can speak. The app may request camera access if a room/video feature or third-party communication SDK requires it, but camera use only happens when you choose to enable it.

How We Use Information

We use your information to provide account access, sync your content across devices, deliver notifications, operate prayer rooms, show your friends and messages, save your Bible activity, and improve app reliability. We do not sell your personal information.

Third-Party Services

Sacred Hour uses Firebase for authentication, database, hosting, cloud functions, and push notifications. It uses LiveKit for live prayer room audio. Sign in may use Apple or Google. These services process information needed to provide their functions.

Family Controls

When you choose app blocking features, Sacred Hour uses Apple's Family Controls and Screen Time APIs on your device. These controls are handled by iOS and are used only to let you select and pause apps during prayer time.

Your Choices

You can choose what information to add to your profile, whether to create prayer requests, whether to join rooms, whether to enable notifications, and whether to grant microphone, camera, photo library, or Family Controls permissions. You can remove friends, leave rooms, and edit or delete certain saved content inside the app.
